JOY for Passions!

(L-R) Reverend Mother Diversity Rains, Sister Bodice Rippa and Sister Fancy Pants

It was with much JOY that the Sisters participated in the Scotiabank Passions event, a benefit for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

In it's 14 years, Passions has raised over $1.4 million dollars with tonight definitely pushing that total over the $1.5 million mark.  What started out as a cocktail fundraiser for their major donors, Passions has now turned into one of the most popular food and wine events in Vancouver.

The Sisters were on hand to help with the Live Auction with one of our Saints, David C. Jones, as the Auctioneer.  With all the yelling and the cheering, one Sister will definitely lose her voice.

"Passions guests were treated to a stellar line-up of more than twenty of Vancouver’s premier restaurants and bartenders."  Restaurants provided amuse bouches for event goers and amazing mixologists shook and served the fanciest of drinks.  Funds raised from Passions is earmarked for the The Dr. Peter Centre's Meal Program that provides over 58,000 meals annually for people living with HIV/AIDS.

"The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation is a non- profit organization that operates, and raises funds to support the Dr. Peter Centre in Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood. The Dr. Peter Centre is providing compassionate care to some of the most vulnerable and unwell in our community."  #passions17
