Getting Close and Personal

(L-R) Paladin 'lil Randy, Sisters Petunia Encarnata, Diversity Rains and Fancy Pants

The Vancouver Sisters participated in BC Culture Days, "a collaborative, Canada-wide volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities."  The Sisters were part of the "queer culture" inclusion for this event.

Sisters talked and manifested in front of an audience.  They shared stories of their calling and individual journeys.  It was beautiful to hear Sister Diversity speak to her history of being a friar with the Discalced Carmelites before joining the Sisters.  And it was wonderful to hear 'lil Randy's journey towards Sisterhood when she didn't know the Sisters were inclusive of all genders.  And did you know Petunia Encarnata literally means "Petunia, the flower of Venezuela, embodied in human form"?  AWESOME!  And Fancy?  Well, she was there to document all of it for OUTLook TV.  Watch for the story in the November show.

Anyone can join the Sisters.  We welcome a very broad spectrum of genders, sexual orientations and religious/spiritual traditions.  We strive to promulgate universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt, all while having the joyest of fun!  The picture says it all!
