Stepping Up for Step Down

The Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were invited to attend the The Rhinestone Phoenix Charity (RFC) Foundation's 37th Gay Vancouver Pageant "Ancient Toga Party" with the Stepdown of Mr. Gay Vancouver Larry, Miss Gay Vancouver Moma Dixie and Ms. Gay Vancouver Brooke!

L to R - Paladin L'il Randy, Reverend Mother Diversity Rains, Sister Festivus Illuminata and Novice Sister Fancy Pants.  Our protocol for the event was - The Abbey of the Long Cedar Canoe of the Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence strives to promulgate Universal Joy, expiate stigmatic guilt and serve the community, our fellow Sisters and the Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.  We honour the "sistory" of the world-wide Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence by working to improve the lives of those affected by HIV.  We also honour Vancouver's present-day reality through work to alleviate and end homelessness, and provide support to groups and projects that might otherwise go unacknowledged. We bring together diverse community groups who are striving towards similar goals.  We offer our greetings to the Rhinestone Phoenix Charity Foundation and are honoured to be recognizing the incredible service and contribution made to the community over the past year by Mr. Gay Vancouver Larry Nowoczin; Miss Gay Vancouver Moma Dixie; and Ms. Gay Vancouver Brooke Davis at this, their Stepdown.

The Sisters were asked to attend and honour the Title holder's reign with a performance.  L'il Randy and Fancy Pants stepped up and perform a duet of Summer Wine by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood, complete with summer wine and silver spurs!

BUT, we were in for a surprise that only our Reverend Mother knew.  Sneaky Mommy!  The Sisters were also invited to attend because The RPC were honouring the Sisters with their Rita Rhinestone Humanitarian Award.  This special Award was last given in 2012.  We are humbled by the honour and thank The RPC for this award.

Thank you to outgoing title holders and welcome to the new title holders Mr. Gay Vancouver John, Miss Gay Kasha and Ms. Gay Kiwi.

  1. Last year, I felt we got really lucky when we found out this space was available on the date we wanted - and now I know just how lucky we were! I can't recommend these New York wedding venues enough! I have nothing but positive things to say about this place.

  2. The florist and her dynamic San Francisco Flower Delivery team are highly responsive, attentive to detail, and friendly. I've had the pleasure of ordering three separate arrangements from them and the arrangements are consistently loved.

  3. These are fresh wonderful Flowers for my wife. I am so glad to read about emotional sentiments attached to lovely fresh flowers. I have also been searching for a professional Mumbai Flower Delivery team to send such a cute “Happiness Bouquet” to my mom. If you have any recommendations then please share!
