Successful Screening of "Bad Habits: The Return of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence"

On March 29th the Abbey played host to the community while screening the documentary Bad Habits: The Return of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at the Junction Pub on Davie Street.

The event was a fundraiser for A Loving Spoonful and as an awareness campaign about the Sisters' Mission here in Vancouver and abroad. The film was extremely well-received by the audience who cheered and clapped throughout. To make the event extra-special, the director, award-winning film maker Kevin O'Keefe flew in from Toronto to be apart of the event by introducing the film and participating in a QnA with our own Reverend Mother, N.Sr. Merry Q. Contrary.

The event was planned and hosted by Novice Sister Alma Bitches who looked like she was revelling in her role while giving out prizes and teasing audience members during the QnA session. The event raised $473.00 dollars for A Loving Spoonful.

The Sisters would love to give a shout out to Connor and the rest of The Junction staff, all of those who attended and donated so graciously, and to those who donated items to the raffel: Studio FX, Priape, and Starbucks
