2nd Annual Rainbow Kick-Off on July 24

An evening of comedy, music & friends with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
Vancouver’s drag-nuns create good habits by once again kick-starting the gayest week of the year!

At 10pm on Sunday, July 24, an amazing line-up of home-grown talent takes to the J Lounge stage for an evening of outrageous fabulosity with special guests David C. Jones (Tops and Bottoms, My Big Gay Wedding) and comedian Robyn Edwards.

"As our wimples have grown, so has our Abbey. We’d love the community to come experience all that our Members and friends have to offer on this amazing night of entertainment," says their Reverend Mother, Novice Sister Merry Q. Contrary.

“Holy crap, are we ever going to have a great night!" comments Novice Sister Ethica Slüt. "We’re welcoming back some of our favourite performing friends, plus we’ve got prizes, a wicked Silent Auction, and a bunch of sexy new Members for y’all to meet.”

The Vancouver Mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a group of 21st Century queer drag nuns. They are a federally-registered charity and the only active Canadian mission of the international Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The Sisters’ mission is to promulgate universal joy, and expiate stigmatic guilt. They host a weekly community drop-in every Friday evening called S'Habit, and regularly attend community events and rallies to lend their support and offer blessings.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sisters’ community grants fund that supports the charitable work of the Abbey and local projects focused on queers, HIV and homelessness. For more information or to make a secure online donation, visit
